Jamie Urquhart, SHRM-SCP

Throughout Jamie’s professional career, she wore many hats, including Office Manager and Operations Manager. Through it all, the common denominator was always people. She decided to narrow her career focus, officially head down the HR career path, and received her SHRM-SCP certification.


In 2021, Jamie founded RemotelyHR and has since been dedicated to helping California business owners navigate complex compliance challenges and stay updated on the latest regulations.

What Jamie enjoys the most about HR helping business owners feel confident with California’s tricky compliance rules and making sure employees have what they need to succeed at work.

When she’s not fine-tuning an employee onboarding process, Jamie spends time with her husband, two kids, and two rescue dogs. She also enjoys cooking, fine wine, traveling, and getting lost in a good book.

Alina Sanchez, PHRca

Alina brings over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting and Business Operations across multiple industries. As a former business owner, she understands the nuanced challenges of scaling your business, growing your teams and staying compliant.

Alina holds a Bachelor's Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Political Science (Pre-Law), a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a Professional in Human Resources, California (PHRca). She thrives on supporting businesses build compliant, HR life-cycle processes, including; hiring, onboarding, and performance management.

When not working, Alina loves to spend time with her family & dog at the beach, cooking and traveling.

CJ Love, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

With more than 15 years of Human Resources leadership experience, CJ partners with organizations across non-profit, FinTech, manufacturing, and government contracting sectors, to build strong, compliant, and people-centered workplaces.

CJ works closely with executive teams and managers to design practical HR solutions that support growth without sacrifying compliance. Her expertise spans employee relations, union and labor relations, compensation strategy, performance manager, and HR operations.

Known for her collaborative style and solution-oriented mindset, CJ focuses on creating sustainable people practices that strengthen culture, reduce risk, and drive long-term success.

CJ holds both SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications, reflecting her commitment to excellence in the profession. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her son and two dogs.

Ashley Zaruba

Ashley Zaruba is a Human Resources professional with more than 15 years of experience supporting and partnering with business owners and leadership teams to simplify the complexities of HR—offering strategic guidance on recruiting, employee relations, workplace policies, and California employment law compliance.

Ashley is known for her practical, solutions-focused approach that helps organizations hire the right people, navigate workplace challenges with confidence, and create positive environments where teams can thrive. Her expertise includes full-cycle recruiting, onboarding systems, performance management, and HR policy development, always with a focus on protecting the business while supporting employees.

Ashley understands the unique HR landscape in California and works closely with companies to ensure they stay compliant while building teams that drive long-term success.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young daughters, and their two dogs. They all love exploring the outdoors, visiting Disneyland, and making the most of Southern California’s sunshine.

Isabela Escol

Isabela is a versatile professional with a diverse background spanning various industries. Beginning her career as a dedicated restaurant manager, Isabela honed her leadership and operational skills over three years, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and efficient team management.

Driven by a passion for organizational development and employee well-being, Isabela transitioned to the corporate realm, serving as a Human Resource Manager. In this role, she played a pivotal role in fostering a positive work culture, implementing strategic HR initiatives, and enhancing employee engagement.


When she is not crunching payroll numbers, Isabela enjoys spending time with her family, indulging in movie marathons, and savoring her favorite brews of coffee.

Lina Baron

Lina is a passionate Recruitment Specialist with over 20 years of experience helping people find their dream jobs. She started her career as a language interpreter and English tutor, and quickly realized that she loved helping others succeed. After working as an Executive Assistant at a job search platform and a Recruiter Assistant at a well-known Latin American staffing agency, Lina acquired the skills needed to source, identify, and hire great talent.


When she’s not busy matching people with their perfect careers, Lina loves spending time with her daughter, exploring the great outdoors, and whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen.

Gabriela Tercero

Gabriela is a results-driven HR and recruiting professional who helps organizations hire smarter and grow stronger by building efficient, structured hiring processes in fast-paced, global environments.

With hands-on experience managing full-cycle recruitment, Gabriela partners closely with leaders to align hiring strategies with real business needs. From sourcing and evaluating top talent to ensuring seamless onboarding and integration, she brings clarity and organization to every stage of the hiring journey.

Gabriela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Human Resorces and is fluent in 3 languages. She combines analytical insight with cross-cultural communication skills to help organizations attract, engage, and retain high-performing talent.

Her background blends human resources expertise, operational coordination, and client-facing support, allowing her to manage complex workflows with precision while maintaining compliance and a people-first approach.
